Meet The Coach

Lloyd Brown

USA Triathlon - Level 1 Coach
US Masters Swimming Coach

Sport is a lifelong passion and I have tried to make the most of every opportunity, regardless of the sport - whether it was baseball, swimming, or water polo.

I started as a high school competitive swimmer and adult Master's swimmer and I didn't begin running marathons and competing in triathlons until I was almost 40. Now, I share my love of sport with athletes who are ready to take on a challenge - whether it's a half marathon or their first Ironman.

I have trained with and apprenticed with Taneen "Coach T" Carvell and her CT3 Racing Team since 2012, ultimately completing three Ironman distances, nine marathons and an ultramarathon.

WONDERDOG COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Triathlon and endurance sports training and racing should:

  • Provide personal growth - Triathlon is challenging. Training and racing should take place in a way that grows athletes physically, mentally and psychologically.

  • Be safe - Training smart and healthy will avoid injury and keep you on track and on the course.

  • Be fun - We train and race because we enjoy the variety and the challenge.
